Most of these species are exotic, this means that they were imported to Argentina the first decades of th 20th Century. For example the well known farmer Aarón de Anchorena introduced the Axis Deer and the antilope from India and the Red Deer together with the wild pig form Central Europe to decorate parks and farms. In this historic context it is important to remark that the First World War had favoured economically Argentina and hence the agro-sector producers found themselves in strong positions to enjoy from certain pleasures...
El ciervo Colorado (Foto de la derecha) es el trofeo primordial por lo compleja que es su cacería, si bien habita en zonas de bellezas únicas. Se encuentran diseminados en la provincia de La Pampa y el sur Patagónico en zonas de altas montañas. Su cacería es a distancias cortas por lo inhóspito del monte y los calibres ideales a emplear son el calibre 7.62, y 7 mm Mágnum.
The Red Deer (photo of the right) is the trophy of excellence due to the complexity of its hunting, it lives in places of extreme beauty such as the province of La Pampa and the Patagonia. The hunting is at short distances due to the hostile area where it takes place. The ideal calibres employed are the calibre 7.62 and the 7mm Magnum.
